I have just moved data from Sierra to TT data and my daily charts have stopped working on the intraday only way of creating it. That also means that I cant build day session only charts. Historical charts dont seem correct. Never had this issue on Sierra data

basically it seems that my new data is restricted to feb 29th 2016 with TT/AMP. What do I need to do?

definetely the issue seems to be there isnt enough data to build daily charts using the "intraday only" setting. Can someone confirm this for me please or tell me where I am going wrong

You are running an old version of Sierra Chart. Update following the instructions here:
http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/download.php#FastUpdate

Make sure you are using the Continuous Futures Contract feature which is documented here:
http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/ContinuousFuturesContractCharts.html

Make sure you are also using the future symbols listed in File >> Find Symbol.

If there is missing data, then re-download the data following these instructions:

i have done all of this and it is still not working. It just isnt downloading the data I need. Seems to not be downloading the continuous/older contracts at all. Is it the data package from AMP or is there something else I can try. I had no issues with my previous account "fmarco" where i got the data from Sierra direct. I am also a competent user with no issues for months prior to changing data provider

it is also worth mentioning that I have a chart for CME euro that has identical settings on it for intraday only daily build and it works perfectly. Those same settings dont work for any other contract. Why I think it may be data issues?

We need to understand this better.

Provide an image of the chart, by following these instructions:
http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=PostingInformation.php#Image

Select "Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings". What is the "Service" at the top left set to?

What version of Sierra Chart are you running? The version number is on the title bar.

And make sure you follow these instructions exactly:

http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/ContinuousFuturesContractCharts.html#ReDownloading

You have to be sure to re-download data for prior contracts.

i promise you faithfully I have done this step correctly numerous times. I can see it selects to download contract data back to a 2005 contract and then it sits in download phase for a while but it just doesnt work when it comes back up.

Based upon the Message Log we see, Sierra Chart is not able to connect to the TT FIX server.

So therefore historical Intraday data cannot be downloaded.

You need to contact your broker for help with the connection problem.

selects to download contract data back to a 2005 contract
Also, do not load so many years of data in the chart. Reduce it to no more than about five years. Otherwise, the whole process of downloading historical Intraday data and creating the chart gets to be very inefficient.

Yes you can use your FMarco account. Just follow through the instructions here:
Sierra Chart - Software Login Instructions: Login with a Different Sierra Chart Account Name

Just make sure the Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Service is set to "SC Data-All Services", after logging into this other account.
