Hi,
I'm using 1381 on both PC's. I'm trying to connect using the DTC server protocol. I've followed your instructions very carefully. I've also tried connecting the two SC's with all firewalls and antivirus software disabled.

I see both PC's on the network and can share files accordingly. However I still receive the "windows error code 10061" when trying to connect the client PC to the server PC.

Please advise as to why the target machine is actively refusing the connection.

Make sure you follow through the instructions here:

https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_DTCServer.php#UsingDTCServerForDataAndTradingInAnotherSCInstance

You are connecting to 127.0.0.1. That cannot be the correct IP address. You need to connect to the IP address that the other Sierra Chart is running on.

Thank you for your rapid reply and apologies for my error.
Unfortunately, I have now come across another problem.

The new Connection Details I am trying to enter in the fields in the Data/Trade Service Settings are not sticking. No matter what I change the Server Address, Server Port and Historical Port into the DTC Service (sub instance) tries to connect using the original numbers I entered (which are incorrect).

Here is the log; Each separate attempt to connect I have changed the connection details in some way but the log does not reflect any changes.

I have updated both PC's to 1382.
Unfortunately the above mentioned problem is still occuring.

Below is the log. I have made two connection attempts both with different sets of numbers in the Connection Details. The log still does not reflect any changes I have made to the Server Address nor the Ports.

Thank you in advance for your help.
Best regards.

We need more time to look into this. We should have this fixed in a few hours.

In our debug testing we did not see the issue but we see the issue in the version for users.

Apparently the changes were not actually released yesterday.

We have released them into the prerelease but the version number is the same. Update to the latest revision of the prerelease with Help >> Download Prerelease. Here are instructions:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/download.php#FastUpdate

Once again the version number did not change.
