Good day

We are looking to use the Sierra DOM for order management however we are seeing a delay in cancellations that are an obvious settings issue. Once an order is cancelled on the Sierra DOM it cancels immediately in the Interactive Brokers TWS shown on the left hand side of the VIDEO below. However it takes approximately 10 seconds to cancel on the DOM. Another issue is that if an order on the DOM is moved it cancels on the DOM and remains active in TWS.

Attached is a video showing the issue live, please let me know what the possible problem might be.

As a matter of policy we do not accept videos unless requested. We looked at enough of the video to confirm that it was not useful to us.

What is the complete and exact symbol this is happening with?

And also whatever settings issue this would be due to would be something in Trader Workstation itself.

This is fine, but we need to know the symbol to see if we can have a better understanding of the problem.

While a problem like this sometimes does occur, it is not a common issue.

oh sorry the symbol is ES-201512-GLOBEX, we are not keen no using anything other then the Sierra Dom now that we have experienced its power. It has everything we need and it has extremely useful practical tools. We will set up a TWS DEMO account and do some testing. We will contact IB and see what setting in TWS may be wrong or need changing. Also we read of another client that had this issue in 2013 and it was resolved so we do have hope that it can be sorted out. Thanks Dean

That is a very commonly traded market among Sierra Chart users using Interactive Brokers and there is little trouble with this.

Two settings on the Sierra Chart side that you can change are as follows:

Global Settings >> General Trade Settings >> Use Server Side OCO and Bracket Orders. Try disabling this and submitting the orders.

Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Connection Details >> Instance. Try setting that to 0.

And reconnect to the data feed:

Hi Guys, sorted thanks for the help you have no idea how pleased we are to switch over from Ninja DOM to Sierra. We have been using the Sierra DOM in DEMO for a few weeks now getting used to it and setting things up while continuing with Ninja. We are happy to go live now and it is working 100% and very please. You have a great DOM second to non in my view and I have used a lot of DOM's over the years. We do not use auto bracket orders so deactivating server side brackets is fine. We place manual stops and limits and actively manage and that is all server side happy with that as well. Regards
