Hi Admin,

I want to be able to show and hide the crosshair by left mouse click while hand tool is selected.

Can you enable this ?

In order to achieve this I need to select chart values/crosshair instead of hand tool and then swihch
back to hand tool... This is not a "friendly process".

Thx. in advance,

There are settings to control this in Global Settings >> Tool Settings >> Chart Values. They are all documented here:

You need to go to Global Settings >> Tool Settings >> Chart Values and then select "Always Enabled When Using Other Tools" in the drop down list.

This setting has already been chosen..
It doesn't solve the problem. You cannot toggle between showing or hiding the crosshair via mouse click.
You have to select crosshair tool instead of hand tool , to be able to do that...
Please check by yourself.

There is nothing for us to check because the functionality does work correctly and we verified that again.

Please tell us exactly what is the setting you have selected. The only reasonable explanation is you do not have the correct setting selected.

Global Settings > Tool Settings > General tab > After single Tool Use change To: Chart Values

Global Settings > Tool Settings > Chart Values tab > Always Enabled When Using Other Tools

-------

Now select Hand tool

When you drag the chart you got the crosshair on, and when you stop dragging the chart the crosshair disappears. that is OK.
But if I want now to bring the crosshair back by a mouse click - no way. I have to switch from hand tool to crosshair and then go back to handtool.... I expect being able to show/hide the crosshair by a mouse click without leaving the hand tool mode..

We cannot duplicate this problem and there is no technical reason at all for something like this to happen:
But if I want now to bring the crosshair back by a mouse click - no way.

You will need to show us this using remote assistance. Contact us through an Account Support Ticket to let us know when we can connect your system remotely to look at this:

The specific issue that the previous poster had has not been resolved. In that you still can not use the Hand Tool and be able to toggle the crosshairs on/off.

You can have the crosshairs show up when left-clicking to use the hand tool, but as soon as you let up on the left-button the crosshairs will go away. You would have to switch to the Crosshairs or some other tool to be able to get the crosshairs to stay on screen without the left-button down.

I use Logitech mouse software to program mouse buttons to show/hide crosshairs.

Keystroke assignments. Other mouse software might have that ability.

ALt + H (crosshairs on)

Alt + 1 (crosshairs off)

I would like to see ALt + H be a toggle for crosshairs off/on. First click on, next click off, same keystroke just off/on, off/on etc...

There is nothing to resolve here. These are different tools. You cannot control one tool with another. But there are these Chart Values tool options:
Chart Drawing Tools: Action When Other Tools Selected (Global Settings >> Tool Settings >> Chart Values >> Chart Values)
