TAL not recording trades/communicating with server in version 1316

Hi; I have version 1258 on my laptop, and can get activity (that is correct) in my TAL. However on my desktop, for the last couple of installs, will not record any activity in the TAL. What reads is Requesting all orders from trade service, and then Disconnected from server. All the settings in the DTS are the same.

btw, on this last install, I am getting information in my Orders and Positions Window that is correct.

Also, you are running an older version of Sierra Chart. So back up files are not made of the Trade Activity Log file in case the problem is the file became damaged or corrupted.

You will need to update Sierra Chart.

I went into my \sierracharts\backup folder, and there is not a "TradeActivityLog.DAT.corrupt" file in that folder. So does that mean I do not have a corrupt file? Or should I do the steps anyway?

Also, from what I am gathering from your response, is that all versions on my desktop and laptop HAVE to be the same version? is this correct, I don't remember this being a problem before, and have been using Sierra Charts now for about 7 years.

Yes, you do not have a corrupt file. There is nothing to do related to this.

This is not correct. They can be different versions.

If you are still having a problem, we need to understand exactly what the problem is with the Trade Activity Log. It is not clear for us.

When you are performing trading, are you not seeing the trading activity at that moment in time listed in the Trade >> Trade Activity Log >> Trade Activity in the instance you are trading from? If so, the problem is with the settings at the top of the Trade Activity Log filtering out the data.
