Is there any way to customize buttons in the new toolbar

Hi SC team, I understand that this is still under development, but I just would like to express a concern. How may I reduce the size of the buttons in the new toolbar? They are too large. I'd like them to be a quarter of the size I'm currently seeing. And all the buttons have different sizes and side proportions for some reason. I hope we'll have possibility to change sizes as well besides of changing color and text. Thanks.

The primary way in which the button size can be changed is by changing the font for the ToolBar buttons in Global Settings >> Graphics Settings >> Fonts.

We are still working on this. What we see in your case is unusual and we have to look at why. There is a larger border around the text-and-graphics than is expected. The buttons will be different sizes because they contain different size text and graphics and each button is sized accordingly. I would prefer fixed button sizes that are the same size regardless of the text or graphic icons. For changing the button sizes, please break that out into its own Graphic Setting. If I adjust the button size, I don't want it to affect everything. Chances are that I will only want to make the buttons smaller and leave everything else the same. I am fairly certain that many others will prefer the same options. |

Having button sizes which are adjusted to the content is one huge advantage of the new Control Bar. We can add an option to make them all the same size which would be the widest required size. The font for the Control Bar/ToolBar is its own setting already and that is primarily what affects the size of the buttons. The only other thing is going to be the icon graphics themselves. please restore the old icon size. i have an ultra high res screen and have cusotmiszed my icons to fit accross the screen. i have icons for the most commonly performed functions over ~2 years of use. with the latest update, i cannot see all the icons in the toolbar reducing the font size to the smallest (8) improves the situation but doesnt restore it to like before - i still have icons that i cannot see or click. to create another row for the tools would detract from the important chart realestate while the new icon pictures are nice, the diferrent sizes and the spaces between the bottom icon and toolbar make it look unfinished. please keep the icon pictures but keep the same icon size as previous. thanks |

The icon sizes have not changed. And there are not any new icon pictures. We are not completely clear about the problem. Can you post an image of the new Control Bar as it appears for you. i fixed the problem by rolling back to the previous pre-release. see all the icons in the toolbar. they fit so nicely on my high res screen. multiple time frames is a core of my methodlogy so i have many icons in the toolbar. when i updated to the new pre-release (sorry I cannot attach a picture since I just undid it - but please see the previous posters pic), then the icons would not fit and the toolbar would be cut off at the 12 hours icon picture. thanks for keeping hte icon size the same. |

The icons are much bigger in the new toolbar. I had to remove 2 buttons from the new toolbar in order for it to fit the screen size. Otherwise status bar cannot be visible. Please see screenshots.

We understand. The problem is with the border around the text or graphics. It is more on the New Control bar compared with the old ToolBar. We will solve this. The buttons itself are bigger in the new toolbar, border around the graphics makes buttons different in height. BTW font size for old toolbar is 10 (by default), for new toolbar it is set to 8. Changing the font doesn't make a big difference for icon size.
