Hi, I installed Avast Internet Security ( paid version ) on my old computer, and Avast Anti-vrius software ( free version ) on my new computer. I was able to download version 982 on both computers today without any problems. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2013-05-31 16:43:08

I have been using Avast Internet Security since October 2011. It has never interfered with the download and installation of Sierra Chart. ( My old computer is running Windows 7 32-bit operating system. ) However, this software did cause far more serious problems before. I was forced to un-install it, and then re-install it several times. It can work perfectly for months, and then suddenly mess up due to a minor/regular update of virus definition. If you don't like surprises and/or un-install/re-install software, you may like to choose another internet security program. To be fair, it has been working perfectly for the past few months. ive also had this problem but it was a bit different. i run sierra with transact, sierra opens automatically with transact trading software (its the only way it opens). avast kept blocking it as the highest level threat and i had to delete avast, uninstall sierra, and reinstall it into a new folder. i never touched avast again
