I have been using Avast Internet Security since October 2011. It has never interfered with the download and installation of Sierra Chart. ( My old computer is running Windows 7 32-bit operating system. ) However, this software did cause far more serious problems before. I was forced to un-install it, and then re-install it several times. It can work perfectly for months, and then suddenly mess up due to a minor/regular update of virus definition. If you don't like surprises and/or un-install/re-install software, you may like to choose another internet security program. To be fair, it has been working perfectly for the past few months.
