Hello,

I've been searching for documentation or support board answers but have been unable to find anything. Apologies if I missed something. I recently upgraded my computer, and the bottom line is I just want to make sure that sierrachart is using the available resources as efficiently as possible. I have noticed for example that if I reload a chart with data which sierrachart already has cached in memory, the chart still takes up to 2 or 3 seconds to render. Keeping an eye on the system resources, it looks like there is a cpu spike on one logical core while this happens, but several other cores remain idle. Is there any way to speed up this performance for things such as reloading of charts? I understand that there may be design limitations as far as which actions or units of work can be shared across processors. But I just wanted to ask to be sure. Any guidance or documentation which describes how to optimally configure system resource usage would be appreciated.

Thanks!

CPU usage for multi-core processor

Linux

Hopefully, Sierra Chart can be run on Linux soon.

Refer to help topic 30:
High CPU Usage | Inactive User Interface | Poor Performance | Long Time to Load Chart Data | Charts Reloading Often

Also using solid-state drives on the computer makes a significant difference with loading of chart data.
