Graphic Settings failed to save - now entirely wrong

I spent time today updating my sub-instance Chartbook for my laptop. I trade solely off the DOM and was making significant changes so as to maximize the vertical space available. There is one DOM in my sub-instance that did NOT use Global Graphic Settings. I went to "chart" then "graphic settings - chart" and selected "copy from global" and it worked beautifully. I saved and closed Sierra Chart. When I reopened, both my main instance (vertical screen) and sub-instance are significantly zoomed in and simply put, both chartbooks are unusable in their current state. I make extensive use of spreadsheet studies and study/price overlays; they all are fine. It is simply the graphics (for example the subinstance had 5 DOMs and now has three and a half when you open). The only other changes I made were removing the control bar and chartbook name up top, removed the window/chart tabs I had at the bottom, and removed my windows task bar at the bottom on my laptop. I save religiously and opened chartbooks from the backup files all of which have the same issue. Thank you |

Check the following setting: General Settings Window: Always Copy Configuration Files to New Instances When Started (Global Settings >> General Settings >> General >> New Instances) If it is set to "Yes", then this means that however the main instance is setup is going to copy down to any sub-instances when they are started. So any changes you make in the sub-instances will be overwritten when you star the sub-instance again. That being said, we do not know why your main instance would not be the same as when you saved it. The one thing you can try to do is to restore the backup configuration file. Refer to the following: Resetting Sierra Chart to a Default State / Restoring Backup Global Configuration File: Restoring Backup Global Configuration File We see that you are running a version of Sierra Chart prior to all the changes we have made with regards to the MDI windows and graphics settings. We highly recommend updating to the latest release prior to making any significant changes to your setup.
