8291”} Hello, I am using Sierra Chart and I am trying to properly set up the Numbers Bars (Footprint). I am facing an issue where the candlesticks disappear when I enable Numbers Bars or change certain settings. I would like a clean professional setup where: * Candlesticks remain visible * Numbers Bars (Footprint) display inside the candles * Volume / Bid-Ask data is clear and readable Could you please provide: 1. Recommended Numbers Bars settings 2. Or a Study Collection / Template file if available Thank you |

To begin with, the Numbers Bars is a tradeoff of the amount of data you want to see versus what you can actually fit in the screen. There is no one set of parameters/scaling that can be used for all symbols. Every chart is going to be different and you have to adjust it with regards to the data. Refer to the following in particular: Numbers Bars: Scaling a Numbers Bars Chart With regards to the bars, they are specifically removed when you are using the Numbers Bars study. The Numbers Bars study then gives you some options for how to view the bar information. Refer to the following: Numbers Bars: Open and Close Marker Style There is also a popular "workaround" to get a bar to display in the Numbers Bars, but it only works if you are using a Text display of "Bid x Ask" or you have two columns, as it puts the bar in the middle of the Numbers Bars per bar. This is done by using the "Study/Price Overlay" and overlaying the Main Price Graph from that same chart. If you are using a Candlestick (which shows best) then you need to change the width of the candlestick to be very narrow. Refer to the following: Study/Price Overlay Study Graphics Settings: Candlestick Width % (Global Settings >> Graphics Settings >> Other) For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
