I would like to confirm a few important points regarding CME Non-Professional market data eligibility on Sierra Chart. 1. If I open a live futures account with Interactive Brokers (IBKR) and fund it with a small amount (for example, around $100), would this be sufficient to qualify as a Non-Professional user for CME data on the Denali Exchange Data Feed? 2. Is it enough to simply connect Sierra Chart to this IBKR account at least once per month to maintain the Non-Professional status? 3. After qualifying for Denali CME data through IBKR, can I then connect Sierra Chart to a prop firm account (such as Earn2Trade via Rithmic) for trading, while still using Denali data from Sierra Chart? I want to make sure that this setup fully complies with Sierra Chart and CME requirements. |

1. You can use Interactive Brokers to verify your non-professional standing for the CME Group. We do not know what amount of funds are necessary with Interactive Brokers for them to consider your account open and valid. 2. Yes. 3. Yes, you will get the real-time data regardless of what service you are connected to, as long as your "Verified Until" date is in the future. Your "Verified Until" date updates to 30 days in the future when you make the connection to your live, funded, futures trading account. This is why you need to connect at least once a month - to update that date. You can view this date at the following link: https://www.sierrachart.com/UserControlPanel.php?page=DenaliDataFeed#Exchanges For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

IBKR Lite accounts do not allow socket connections to the Interactive Brokers API (TWS API or IB Gateway). Socket-based API connections, which are used for algorithmic trading and automated platforms (like Python ibapi, Bookmap, or Trade Ideas), require an IBKR Pro account. IBKR Lite Limitations: API connections are blocked. The API setting "Enable ActiveX and Socket Clients" will not work for, or is not available to, Lite accounts. Pro Requirement: You must have an IBKR Pro account to use the TCP socket connections (ports 7496/7497). Sierra Chart requires access to Socket Port 7496. |

I would like to confirm whether an Interactive Brokers Pro Cash account is sufficient for non-professional verification in Sierra Chart to receive CME Denali data. I have seen some people say that a Cash account is not sufficient, and that a Margin account is required since it is intended for futures trading, while Cash accounts are mainly for stocks. In my case, I will not trade through Interactive Brokers. My actual trading will be done through Earn2Trade (Rithmic connection), and IBKR would only be used to maintain non-professional status and fulfill the exchange requirements. So I would like to confirm if an IBKR Pro Cash account, funded with a small amount, is enough for this purpose. Thank you. |
