Entry and exit points shifting when I hit market

Hi,

I started trading MES last week, and ever since then, the points at which I enter and exit positions seem to shift.

For example, I'll buy 6655.00, but entry on the chart says something like 6661.00, putting me in the red straight away. However, I then wait for price to reach that level (6661.00) and then exit for what I assume to be a break even, but it register's as a win of say 20+ tics.

Today I entered a position and the entry didn't actually shift on this occasion, but the exit did. I sold manually at 6666.00, and the entry on the chart corresponded with this. I flattened at 6660.75, with my profit on screen showing +21 tics, however it only registered as +4 on my trade window.

Can anyone explain whats going on here? Is it something to do with my broker having only just been set up to trade MES? I was trading oil before with no issues.

Many thanks

You are not viewing the current data, as you are not setup to get data for the CME exchange from our Denali Exchange Data Feed. You only have the "NYMEX with Market Depth for Non-Professional Trading Accounts" active.

You need to add/change your exchange selections so you have the CME exchange in order to get data for MES. Refer to the following:
Denali Exchange Data Feed: Changing Denali Exchange Data Feed Exchange Selections

Hi,

Thanks a lot for clearing that up. I'll add the CME exchange to my data feed.

Many thanks
