Is there anyway to have one chart read interactive brokers data feed and another read my denali data feed? I'm trying to create a custom indicator and figure out a way to extract data from denali without having to switch everything over to one or the other. I need both so that I can use an algo that connects through IB while extracting data from denali. Thanks

The quick and easy answer is "No". This can definitely not be done within a single instance of Sierra Chart. You are either getting the data from Denali or from Interactive Brokers. There is no way to have both. We do not know if it will work for what you are doing, but you can get have two separate installations of Sierra Chart on a single computer in which you get data from Denali in one and data from IB in another. You just need to set the option for "Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Common Settings >> Allow Support For Sierra Chart Data Feeds" to "No" in the instance where you want to get IB data. Refer to the following for how to install a second Sierra Chart: Using Multiple Data and Trading Services at the Same Time: Step-By-Step Instructions to Install Multiple Copies of Sierra Chart There are no additional fees or anything special you need to do for this. You can also do this on two different computers without any additional fees on our end. That's extremely helpful, thank you. However, when I created the second version and switched to SC Data, I can't access the delta information via ASCII. Is there some trick to this? Thanks in advance.

First of all, we want to point out that you are not setup to get any data from our Denali Exchange Data Feed. We did not notice this when we responded previously. We see that you had filled out agreements for the CME Group data, but those were rejected as you did not enter a "Clearing Firm" and "Account Number". In order to be able to get the real-time data for the CME Group at the non-professional rates, you need to have a live, funded, futures trading account. And you need to connect your Sierra Chart software to that account at least once a month for verification. Refer to the following: Denali Exchange Data Feed: Understanding and Accessing Data From the CME, CBOT, NYMEX, COMEX Exchanges Once you have worked out the above, and if you still want our Denali data at the non-professional rates, then you will need to redo the agreements at the following link. You will need to enter the "Clearing Firm" and "Account Number" for the live, funded, futures trading account that you have. If you do not know the Clearing Firm, then enter the Brokerage name. https://www.sierrachart.com/UserControlPanel.php?page=ExchangeAgreements_CME Once the agreements are accepted, then you can activate an exchange at the following link: https://www.sierrachart.com/UserControlPanel.php?page=DenaliDataFeed#Exchanges -- I'm getting VolumeAtPriceForBars is returning 0 price levels with Denali data
If you are doing everything correctly then this should not be the case. Even though you are using our Delayed Streaming data, you should have that filled out correctly. In this case, you are needing Programming Help, and we do not give programming help. Given that the rest of this thread is related to other issues, we recommend opening a new thread and asking for help from the community on why you are having this issue. Thank you so much! One more question - I completed the forms for clearing firm and account number. Is this the option I want for Emini NQ and ES (I'm a little confused because it says users without a trading account, which I just completed the steps confirming that): CME E-mini, For professionals and users without a trading account |
