Good morning, I need to apply the last column you see on the right of the photo (I think it's the delta) to my DOM. It's the bid minus ask orders. If I go to the settings to add columns to the DOM, I can't find it. I only have "current trade ask volume" and "current trade bid volume," which I used to create the split volume profile. The photo shows the second-to-last column from the right. Thanks.

Hi, is that screenshot from Sierra Chart or from another platform? As far as I know, the Sierra Chart DOM doesn't have a built-in column that shows the Delta (Ask Volume minus Bid Volume) per price level. The columns available are things like Current Traded Bid Volume and Current Traded Ask Volume separately, but not a calculated difference column. If you're looking for Delta per price level, the Numbers Bars study (Footprint chart) can do that, it's a chart-based study, not a DOM feature. In the study settings, set the text type to "Ask Vol Bid Vol Difference". Documentation: Numbers Bars (see "Numbers Bars Text Types") Hope that helps point you in the right direction! |

Hi, thanks for the reply! The chart in the photo is a jigsaw, but I know it can also be done with Sierra Chart on the DOM, but I don't know how. I knew about the delta on the footprint, but I need it on DOM. Thanks a lot anyway.

The ability to display the Delta (both straight and diagonal) as a DOM column was added about a month ago. These are specific columns for the DOM, so select "Trade >> Customize Chart/Trade DOM Columns" to add these. You will see these two items in that window for these: - Current Traded Ask minus Bid Volume - Current Traded Diagonal Ask Minus Bid Volume For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Hi John, I don't see "Ask currently traded less bid volume" - Diagonal ask currently traded less bid volume in the window you mentioned. Maybe because I need to update Sierra? |

We are not seeing either of the entries, therefore you are definitely on a release that does not have these in them. Follow these instructions to update to the latest release: Software Download: Fast Update For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Thank you very much, I did. May I ask, is there a way to color the cells? Thanks.

Refer to the information at the following link and the 4 items below it: Customizing Fonts, Colors, Line Styles, and Widths for Chart Trading, Chart DOM, and Trade DOM: Chart DOM Current Traded Ask Volume Bid Volume Difference Positive Note that there are the same coloring options also for the "Trade DOM". I don't understand, specifically what are the steps to change the column color "current trade ask minus bid volume"?

Exactly what color are you wanting to change? The text, volume bar, or background of the column?

I would like the background of the positive delta box to be blue and the negative one to be red.

We do not know what you are referring to in terms of the "delta box". In the attached image, we show the "Current Traded Ask Minus Bid Volume" column on the left side of the DOM. In it we set the colors for the Volume Bars such that positive values are green and negative colors are red (well, maybe reddish-orangish). If this is what you are referring to, then the Volume Bars colors are controlled by these settings in Graphics Settings: - Chart DOM Current Traded Ask Volume Bid Volume Difference Positive Volume Bar - Chart DOM Current Traded Ask Volume Bid Volume Difference Negative Volume Bar Refer to the following and the item below it: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/ChartTradingCustomizingGraphics.php#ChartDOMCurrentTradedAskVolumeBidVolumeDifferencePositiveVolumeBar Keep in mind that there are separate coloring options for a Trade DOM. Refer to the following and the one below it: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/ChartTradingCustomizingGraphics.php#TradeDOMCurrentTradedAskVolumeBidVolumeDifferencePositiveVolumeBar For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing Date Time Of Last Edit: 2026-02-26 20:25:28

Maybe I'm explaining myself poorly, I apologize. Look at the attached image, the last column on the right, which is "current traded ask minus bid volume." I'd like the background of the negative numbers to be red, while the background of the positive numbers is blue. Right now, it's all gray.

I checked Graphics Settings, there's only one Background entry for the entire delta column, not split into Positive/Negative like the text colors are.

This is correct, there is no control for different backgrounds based on the value of the numbers. There is just the one background coloring option. For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
