I am getting these messages now in my chat window Does this have to do with the 15 second rate limit on messages? If so, can you better explain why this message and how the message limit works in more detail? Thanks |

It sounds like you have an alert setup to remind you that you have "Pending Chat Messages" that you have not read. And that you must have the alert number you are using for that alert set to send messages to the Chat. We wonder if this would create an infinite loop. We will have to check on this. But, make sure that the following alert has an alert number associated with it that will not send messages to the Chat: General Settings Window: Chat Window Pending Message Alert (Global Settings >> General Settings >> Alerts >> Other Alerts) You should also check the other items around that one that have to do with Chat alerts to ensure none of them are sending notifications to the Chat. I haven't changed my alert settings that i'm aware of in my chartbooks. I believe this just started happening about a week ago as if on it's own. Another user did add me to a group chat but i'm not sure if that's related. I don't understand what "Pending Chat Messages" means exactly and i don't see this described anywhere in documents or the support board. |

Just to Update, removing me from the other user's group chat seems to have stopped the pending messages But I don't know why that would have caused the messages in the first place, or again, what that message means. I believe i was receiving the alerts fine in each chat. So not sure why I would get this message. It seems extraneous |
