Hi Team, Since this week I suffer some serious delays. Charts update price quite slow but it 's wider than that, opening a new window or adjusting a price takes seconds. Same with the hairs of the crosshair the cursor can be on another screen well before the crosshair reacts. In fact, the only thing up-to-date is the trade window, where the value of a position changes well ahead of the chart arriving of the implied price. It 's making things rather difficult at the moment. It is definitely Sierra Chart, any other action on my computer, like writing this message, goes at regular speed. I cannot measure the lag, but it feels like a second and a half, maybe two. Need a bit of guidance here. Is there anything you can do to fix it, and if not, what can I do myself to get things back to normal? Thanks in advance, Regards, Lex |

The first thing we want you to do, is adjust the chart update interval to a higher value: High CPU Usage | Inactive User Interface | Poor Performance | Long Time to Load Chart Data | Charts Reloading Often: 30.5 - Chart Update Interval There is a global setting and a chart specific setting. Thank you for a response quicker than my charts :-) The response time (global) was at a rather ambitious 10 milliseconds, not my doing but I reset that to 250 for now. Chart-specific is at 0. Yet that didn't offer any solace. Opening or closing a window, re-centering the DOM scale, entering or deleting a drawing, adjusting a scale: it all functions, but with a quite serious lag. Clicking the crosshair up or clicking it away, same thing. It will still be there for a while. The program is way less responsive than usual. What may be causing this, can it be that my C station is too full with redundant files perhaps? Again, thanks for your prompt reaction, it 's appreciated. Lex |
