Hiding Scrollbars as Default Setting [Feature Request]

By default, Sierra Chart displays a scrollbar in each new window. Since I don't need it, I have to change the window settings and hide it every time I open a new window. This is very annoying, especially when working with multiple windows.

Could you therefore add a "show scrollbars" option to the global settings? That would save me a lot of repetitive work. Thank you.

Not what you are asking, but you can set a keyboard shortcut to do this - you still have to do it for every new window but it will save you a lot of clicking if you are doing it through menus.

Global Settings > Customize Keyboard Shortcuts > Chart > Show Scrollbar

Thanks for the tip. I'm aware of this option. As you correctly pointed out, I still have to do this for each new window. I would like to get rid of that 😉

Are you referring to chart windows?:
By default, Sierra Chart displays a scrollbar in each new window.
If so, refer to:

Yes, I'm referring to the chart windows.

As I understand it, Chart Templates is just a duplication of the chart window. However, that does not help me when I create a new window via "Find Symbol."

I need to disable scrollbars globally.

What you want to do it is definitively supported through the template concept. Refer to:
Using Chart Templates: Duplicating Charts / Template Charts

Specifically see step 6.

Thank you, this approach may work for most of my work. However, I still think it would be nice to have the option to disable scrollbars globally. It is, after all, a more intuitive approach.

There is absolutely 0% chance this will ever come:
, I still think it would be nice to have the option to disable scrollbars globally.
It goes against the fundamental design of Sierra Chart. The fundamental design being that the template, an existing chart, serves as the default settings for another chart. And then you can have any number of templates, by just simply duplicating any chart configured as you want.

It will never come.

With all due respect, that doesn't make much sense to me.

For example, if I can globally set scrollbars and title bars to be hidden for inactive windows, why can't I also globally set scrollbars to not be displayed at all? It's almost the same thing.

Your solution requires that there always be a clean chart window that is used to create new ones. But what if all my chart windows in the chartbook contain different settings, drawings, and indicators? In that case, I'm forced to duplicate the chart window with everything on it, then remove those items once the copy is created. That's quite impractical and time-consuming. Or have I misunderstood something?
