Upon opening Sierra chart, all chartbooks charts and/or main windows are experiencing major image rendering issues.

The problem is self-explanatory upon viewing the image. I will also note that the charts aren't refreshing per say, but they are actively changing the images that are being displayed, changing or even briefly fixed then getting worse etc. just cycling through different versions of the incorrect rendering.

Current fixes I've tried
1. Restart CPU (it had been restarted last night prior to opening Sierra this morning as well)
2. (A) Global Settings/Symbol settings/ [uncheck "use Custom Symbol settings", Update from server] (B) File/reconnect
3. Changed Symbol within chartbook (all charts are linked for Symbol) also had issue with the new symbol and then changed back to original symbol, same problem.

Note: the "100 trades" time frame chart that is in the middle and overlapping the 2 largest charts is one that is normally detached, I just attached it for the image capture.

Please restart Sierra Chart in Safe Mode. Follow these instructions:
Sierra Chart - Software Login Instructions: Using Safe Mode

And then do not open any chartbooks, instead open a single new chart and see if that opens properly. If not, then please let us know and get us an image.

If a single chart opens properly, then close that and then open a chartbook. If this opens properly, then the implication is that you have a custom study that is causing an issue. At this point, restart Sierra Chart without Safe Mode and remove the custom studies, resave the chartbook, then close the program and re-open it again and open that newly saved chartbook. If it continues to look fine, but did not with the custom studies, then you need to find the study that is causing the issue.

If none of the above works, then change your setting for "Use OpenGL for Chart Graphics", changing it from whichever way you currently have it to the opposite option. Then restart Sierra Chart and let us know if you continue to have an issue. Refer to the following for the OpenGL option:
Graphics Settings: Use OpenGL for Chart Graphics (Global Settings >> Graphics Settings >> Other)

thank you. OpenGL Solved it.

I could not find a custom study issue, As far as I know I don't use any and I was very methodical taking studies off the charts 1 at a time in new chartbooks etc.

We are curious which way you now have the setting for using OpenGL? Are you now using OpenGL and it is working properly, or the other way around?

I ENABLED the OpenGL, the box was NOT checked so I checked it.

Also, after I started in safe mode I found the culprit chart causing the issue, but still did not have any custom study's on it.

But once I restarted in normal mode and then ENABLED the OpenGL, all the other charts were fine while the culprit chart was just not rendering ANYTHING. But the point is that having the culprit chart in the chartbook no longer messed up the other charts with OpenGL enabled. I just deleted the culprit at that point and created a new one with the same indicators and all is well.

I'm sorry but I don't have the actual culprit chart to show you...by the time I remembered to save it for you, I had already saved the chartbook after deleting the culprit chart.

Interesting. Ok, we'll just have to move forward and if it ever happens again, then we'll see if we can get a copy and figure out what may have occurred.

Regarding OpenGL, and issues associated with OpenGL, you need to update to the latest version of Sierra Chart to resolve those. There have been a few issues resolved with OpenGL.
