Regarding the Color Bar Based on Alert Condition study, the Draw Extension Lines at Color Bar Value [in 10] doesn't work properly when using Study Subgraph Reference Value when TRUE [in 15]

The one that doesn't work, is the Extend to Future Intersection. It just goes to the end of the Chart. the other three (End of the Chart,End of Day, End of future Bar Close Closing) all work though. So until this is fixed, Ill just use the End of Future Bar close Crossing.

This is the set up Im using. I have the Vol at Price study. I wanted a Rt Arrow at the VL level. So I referenced that in the Alert Study. It works.
So I want to extended that level with a line.
It does, but as I mentioned, the Extend to Future Intersection doesn't work, I just have lines everywhere from all the days loaded. So a temporary fix is for me to switch it to Extend to Future Bar Close Crossing, and that works, although not ideal.
Just FYI for the list.

What do you have the "Based On" set to for that "Color Bar Based on Alert Condition" set to?

I have the Alert Study based on the Vol at Price Study. Because if its set to Main Price Graph, it will not put the Rt Arrow at the VH (or VL) Price Level. If using the Main Price Graph as "Based on", then my only options to where the RT Arrow shows up, is the Open, Close, High, Low. etc.

I want to see the level of the VH (or VL) quickly, so I even have the RT Arrow Line Label as "Value". and Horizontal Align as "LEFT", so the level shows right on the arrow.

(I wouldn't think what its based on would effect it anyway, bc the RT Arrow shows up in the correct place "Base on" the Vol at Price, its just the extension lines are working. BTW, as of today's data downloaded, now the Extension to Future Bar Close Crossing isn't working either, it just extends indefinitely.)

We are not understanding your logic for the "Based On". Since you are using an "Output When Condition True" of "Study Subgraph Reference", you do not need to have the "Based On" set to the Volume by Price study. You can select that item with the Based On set to the "Main Price Graph".

The "Based On" defines what the "Extend Until Future Intersection" is going to intersect with. If you have the "Based On" set to the "Volume at Price" study and the "Study Subgraph Reference" set to a Value Area, then the intersection is looking for another Value Area intersection, which will almost never occur. But if you have the "Based On" set to the "Main Price Graph" then the intersection will look for a bar intersection, which it sounds like you want.

Refer to the following, which is a slightly modified concept of what you are trying to do:

I understand what you're saying.
But how do I get the Rt Arrow to show up at the horizontal Price level of the VH?
Because if I do set it Based on Main Graph, I only have certain options (Open,High, Low,etc) but no VH or VL option?

Below you see the Light Red Right Arrow at the VL. This is based on the Vol at Price. But no extension (I put the Lt Red dash horz line there)

From what you state previously, you have the "Output When Condition True" set to "Study Subgraph Reference". Therefore, in the "Study Subgraph Reference Value When True" you should be selecting the "Volume by Price" study with the appropriate subgraph you want to use.

This should be working properly for you and give you the price of the subgraph for those bars where the alert is true.

Yes, That is what I have. And as I said the RT arrows ARE correctly at the VH (VL)

But my originol statement was the Draw Extension line at Color Bar Value [In10] doesn't work when set to Extend to Future Intersection!

The extension line just goes on forever even if hit!

What is "Based On" set to at this time? It should be "Main Price Graph" and everything should work fine.

All good. Thx.

Don't know if for future consideration but, Maybe an option of Future Intersection until End of Day.

Because during the RTH I need the future intersection, but when I am doing research with several days loaded, I have lines everywhere from no intersection on previous day, and in my instances, it has no value. I know its being picky, but just a thought bc sometimes in RTH i load previous day bc I need some comparisons to the previous day, but those UN-intersected lines are everywhere! lol I haven't figured out a solution yet.
Thx
