I upgraded from version 2801 to version 2871. Big mistake, now all the charts I had minimized, because I don't need to see them. I just pull study data from them. All are un-minimized, and I can't even minimize them anymore. Screenshot attached. |

You need to set the MDI Child Window Minimize Method: General Settings Window: MDI Child Window Minimize Method (List) (Global Settings >> General Settings >> GUI >> Multiple Document Interface (MDI) and Custom Title Bar Settings) To: Minimize to Bottom. For each chart, Restore it, then Minimize it again. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. Ok, I do not see an option to minimize to the taskbar. I got a bunch of stacked windows at the bottom of the main window. I didn't choose "Hide" because I may want to find them again for setting changes if needed. |

You cannot minimize to the taskbar for attached MDI child windows. You can also reduce the size of those minimized windows with these settings: General Settings Window: MDI Child Window Minimize Width % (Global Settings >> General Settings >> GUI >> Multiple Document Interface (MDI) and Custom Title Bar Settings) When you choose Hide Window for the MDI Child Window Minimize Method, to restore the hidden window, select it from the CW menu, or from the MDI tabs when General Settings >> Windows >> Window Tabs >> Show Hidden Windows on MDI Tabs is enabled.

You cannot minimize to the taskbar for attached MDI child windows.
It can be done in version 2801. When I minimize the chart, it goes to the bottom of the application window and is not visible. When I want to see the chart again.I just click on the chart name at the bottom of the application, and the chart appears. I will just go back to version 2801. There is never a full list of upgrades or features added in upgrades anyway. So I won't miss any features that nobody knows about. Seems the statement is true. "If it isn't broken, don't upgrade." This is not the Taskbar you are referring to. It is the bottom of the main Sierra Chart window. And this is not true: It can be done in version 2801. When I minimize the chart, it goes to the bottom of the application window and is not visible.
A minimized window, still is visible, at the bottom of the main window just like in newer versions. The minimized window is larger in newer versions ( although the size is fully customizable), and can be restored, through the MDI Child Window tabs as explained.
