I made some changes to the Update Interval portion of the screen located at: Global Settings > General Settings > General and did not write down the defaults that were there before I made the changes. Now, when I start up SC, it takes about 4 minutes for Rithmic to populate the data and begin streaming. Before the changes I made in an attempt to make SC even faster, it would only take about 30 seconds to load and populate the data and then begin streaming. Since I am a OneUp Trader, I don't have any choice but to use a Rithmic feed if I want to use Sierra Charts. Here is what I have now under the Update Interval section of Global Settings > General Settings > General Settings name Update Intervals Chart Update Interval in MS is 30 Quote Board Update Interval in MS is 100 Quote Board High/Low Timeout Time in Seconds is 30 Multiple Chart Back Test Update Interval in MS is 200 Timer Management Enable is No Timer Management - Chart Calculation/Draw Time multiplier for Interval Delay is 3 Timer Management - Maximum Interval Delay in MS is 300 Minimum Delay Between Chart Update in MS is 30 US OS Timer for Charts Yes I made no changes to anything else in this section or to anything else on this whole screen. I attached a screenshot of what I currently have to this support post. What were the default settings for the Update Interval section of the attached screenshot that SC had preset before the changes I made above so that I can put it back exactly as it was? Also, ever since I updated to version 2868 and changed from using the OS Timer to the Sierra Chart timer, besides it taking about 4 minutes for my charts to populate, it also takes about 2 minutes to switch from Real trading to Simulated by going to Trade > and adding or removing the check mark located next to Trade Simulation Mode On. I have tried to go back to using the OS Timer instead of the Sierra Chart timer and I still am experiencing SC taking about 4 minutes to populate the data. Before I tried to use the Sierra Chart timer, I did not have hardly any delay since SC would start and populate the charts in about 30 seconds. I have tried restarting SC, rebooting my computer, also as stated above, I tried to go back to the OS Timer and still I am experiencing the delayed load issue. I have also tried to update to SC version 2871 and 2872 and still I am experiencing the delayed load at start up. Please instruct me how to fix this and also give me the default setting for the SC page. The screenshot is after I made the change from the OS timer management to the SC Timer Management as shown above in bold type. I wish I would have taken a screenshot of what the chart interval page looked like before I made any changes, but, I did not. Hopefully, you can tell me what to set each line to as the default settings that were originally in Sierra Charts. I read the info at General Settings Window: Chart Update Interval (Global Settings >> General Settings >> General >> Update Intervals) I still think Sierra Charts are the best even though I am experiencing the issues as stated above. I don't know if it was Sierra Charts or Rithmic that fixed the slow loading issue; but, everything is back to normal now. I hope it will stay that way. I did update to Version 2873 64-bit and revision 55633 over the weekend. Nothing worse than being in the technology abyss. Thank the good Lord that it is fixed. Sierra Charts are really solid, in my opinion. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2026-02-02 00:15:56

... to: User357195 When you have: "US (Use) OS Timer for Charts" set to "Yes" all those settings have no impact !!! because you are NOT using SIERRA CHART TIMERS !!! Please check with SC about that-I could be wrong In that case-sorry All the best |

If you read what SC wrote about timer management you will see that some of the settings do matter if I am using OS Timers. I think only the info lines that begin with Timer management matter. At any rate, thanks for your feedback. |

... was referring to "NTP Client Settings" agree with you-nothing comes close to SIERRA CHART also if you do not have to be on Rithmic consider using DENALI/TETON |
