I took the G7FX course by Neerav Vadera, which includes information about Sierra Chart and also some chartbooks that he's shared with people who bought the course. I'm sure there must have been several other students of the course who now use Sierra Chart. There are exercises/tasks in the course which I was hoping to start during this free trial, involving the DOM (and one of the Chartbooks he shared includes DOMs of a few different markets.) Unfortunately, these DOMs (EURUSD, 10 Y US Treasuries, E Mini S&P500, Crude Oil and GBPUSD) don't work and I think it must be because these markets are not included in the Free Trial Symbols (except the E Mini S&P500, which does work.) So I suppose my first question is can you confirm that this is the reason why those DOMs in the G7FX_FOUNDATIONDOMCHARTBOOK_updatedJan2023-230106-182028.Cht chartbook are not working for me. Secondly, I wanted to ask about the service packages. I want delayed feed rather than live data feed for now, so I think that means package 5. But package 10 costs the same amount and you have to pay extra for live feed, so I'm not sure whether I should get package 5 or package 10. What is the difference if you don't want live data or to actually trade yet? Also, when I know which one I want I'll probably get it for 6 months or possibly 12 rather than renewing it monthly. But at some point during those 6 or 12 months, I'll want the live data. Is it possible to change service package from 5 to 10 (for example) even if you've already paid for 6 or 12 months? |

1. You can only get the data for certain symbols while on a trial. Any other symbols will show a blank chart. So most likely this is the case. Refer to the following: Sierra Chart Trial Account But, we also want to point out that every service uses a different symbology, so the symbols that are setup in the chart may not be what you need for the service you are currently connected to. Select "Edit >> Translate Symbols to Current Service" with the chartbook open, in order to update the symbols and make sure this is not where you are having an issue. 2. If you do not need the live data, then you would want to be on one of the "Base" packages. Which package depends on what you need for your charting. Refer to the information at the following link for the differences in the packages: Description of Service Packages and Pricing: Packages 3. You can change your package at any time, and as often as you like. So this is not a problem. Refer to the following: Sierra Chart Purchase and License Information: Changing Package For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
