Hey, I have an automated system, running on sim for the past month, and now for the first day on a rithmic account. When my targets are hit, something weird happens during the cancelation process (see image): 1. Target = filled 2. Stop order pending cancel 3. Stop order cancel 4. Random message about Ordermodifcation (of the already canceled order failed), and the order is reopened again as a ghost order. not at rithmic but only at the sierrasystem. Is this a setting in the sierrachart system (see image_2) that does this? How can I change it so that it doesn't happen again? or should I just accept that these 'ghost' orders will not dissapear and wont get filled and thus only mess with my 'position size' Kind regards |

When you say the order is "reopened again" what exactly are you seeing on the system? Are you getting an order line on the screen? Or are you just referring to the line in your Trade Activity Log? From what we can see, it looks like your system is trying to modify the Stop order after it has been already closed out. If this is the case, and there is no actual order showing up, then you would need to look into your system to determine why it is doing this. Hey John, My system doesn’t modify orders, it places an OCO at entry and leaves it as it is. For some reason the order gets canceled in sierra and rithmic, it disappears from the screen. Then it reappears. I am pretty sure my system does not modify the orders. Not sure if sierra is still trying to modify the order although its filled, seems like it tries to cancel it again while it is already canceled on sierra and rithmic (see image in my previous post). Then rithmic rejects it because its already canceled, thats where the order comes from.. I just don’t know if it is a setting that is wrong in sierrachart, or something I need to manage… the order does not reappear in rithmic, so it can’t get filled.. |

We are still confused as to whether this is just an order modification or if you are actually seeing a working order on the chart. Please let us know if you are seeing an actual working order, or if one is listed in the "Trade >> Trade Orders Window" when you have this occur.

Hey John, I see a working order on the chart, but only on the sierra side. Not on the rithmic side, I have to cancel them manually.. |

Go through your Trade Activity Log and look at the Orders. There would have to be an order being generated that is stated in the log. You would need to see where that order is coming from. This will be in the "OrderActionSource" column. Also, look to ensure that your Trade Activity Log shows that the attached order that was part of the position was properly closed out. It's possible that Rithmic is not sending the information properly to actually close it, and that is why the order is still existing. Hey John, In the attached file I have added the whole order cycle, so you see the parent getting filled, orders being placed as childs and being canceled, and all of a sudden it is reopened again. You can see me canceling the order manually after that and it being canceled.. thats the weird part.. sierra already processed it being canceled but for some reason it is reopened again (see 'canceled' and on the next line 'open'). I dont know why this happens.. I have attached the orderactionsource column in the screenshot so you can exactly see what I am seeing. Thanks for your help |

The issue you are describing at #7 is strictly a Rithmic issue. Sierra Chart has no control over it.
