Candlesticks (and the DOM aswell) are updating in a choppy, sluggish way. The candlesticks are behind the DOM in price. Tick by tick data is set to be on, I can give prf if needed. Also, download speed, CPU and RAM are no problems. I have looked through all documentation and have optimized chart update interval (50ms) and OpenGL and everything listed. While the attached video is not in trading hours, this same problem persists even then. My perception of what the speed should look like is taken from the DelayedExchangeDataFeedDemonstration video on the Sierra Website. I am package 12, SC data. It is obviously not the delay which is concerning but the updating mechanism.

The chart is only going to update when there are actual trades that occur. Since you state that this video was taken "no in trading hours", we can only assume that what you are seeing is due to the low trading volumes during that time. The DOM data will update at the "Chart Update Interval", which is why you are seeing the Market Depth data update when the bars are not. We would need to see what your chart looks like during the day trading for the symbol you are viewing. Also, please be sure to go through the documentation at the following link, which contains everything we know to do to optimize the system: High CPU Usage | Inactive User Interface | Poor Performance | Long Time to Load Chart Data | Charts Reloading Often Your posting shows that you are in Australia, so you may want to set a specific data server that we have in New Zealand or Japan. Refer to the following: Sierra Chart Server Settings: CME Exchange Data Feed Server Address and Port Override (Global Settings >> Sierra Chart Server Settings >> General >> Special) For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
