I am using a range/tick based main chart graph. Previously, I was using the Bar Duration study to quickly and instantly scan which of the chart bars took a long amount of time to close. However, I prefer the Bar Duration field in the Numbers Bars Calculated Values study as it saves space. In order to replicate the easy visual identification of longer-than-usual bars that the Bar Duration study provided, I'd like to change the background color of the Bar Duration field within the Numbers Bars Calculated Values study if the duration of the bar exceeds a certain threshold (ex. 5 minutes). If changing the background isn't possible, then changing the font color would also suffice. I believe this can be done with one of the Color Based on Alert Condition studies, but I am having difficulty getting it to work.

The Numbers Bars Calculated Values colors can not be changed based on a condition. Nor can the "Color Bar Based on Alert Condition" study be used to do this.

We have noted this as a Feature Request.

What you can do is use the "Color Bar Based on Alert Condition" to give you some kind of other notice that you can use - such as coloring the bar, placing a marker on the bar, or some other visual clue that you can use. Refer to the following:
