Simulated trades randomly cancel without my action

When I trade live, my positions always stay intact.
When simulating, trades cancel out for no apparent reason after some time. It can be one minute. It can be five minutes. I never know.

At first I thought it was because I have some jumpiness noticeable on my DOM sometimes. For example, let's say a stock is trading in a range between $200 and $200.20. Rarely (but it still happens sometimes), the current price will jump to 220.30 or what looks like a frozen state for a microsecond, even though it's not actually trading at that price (all the orders inbetween have not moved). I thought this would be why some trades stopped out.

But I've used ridiculously wide stoplosses, to see if the position would remain active even though there is no chance price can ever jump this far. Still, some positions cancel themselves.

I have no idea where it comes from.

Would you like to see the message log or the trade log?

You need to look at the "Trade Activity Log" and see what price the position was closed out at and see how your Stop/Target is set relative to that price to see what would have caused it. Or, if there is something else in the "Order Action Source" that states why the position was closed, then refer to what it is telling you. Refer to the following:

I just opened a trade on NVDA. Six seconds later, the trade canceled.

The trade activity log says:

Activity Type: Orders
Order Action Source: Canceling order due to sibling fill
Order Type: Limit
Buy/Sell: Sell
Price: 177.31 (I entered long at 177.16 with a 10 cent stoploss, 10 cent target both being OCO orders. This does not make sense. When I activate Trade -> Show Order Fills, I can see the simulated trade actually canceled one tick above my entry point. So it was canceled at 177.17, which does not add up with this 177.31)
Order Status: Pending Cancel
Time In Force : Good till Canceled

Then on a second line, at the same second:

Activity Type: Orders
Order Action Source: Simulated order canceled
Order Type: Limit
Buy/Sell: Sell
Price: 177.31 (like before, I have set nothing at 177.31. My take profit would be at 177.26. Price did not have time to move)
Order Status: Canceled
Time In Force : Good till Canceled

The same principle applied to previous trades that canceled : "canceling order due to sibling filled" is written.
When a simulated trade is taken without OCO take profit (limit) and stoploss (stop) orders, it never cancels.

You need to find the Fill that closed out the position and see what price it shows as closing out the order.

The fill shows "Exit Price 177.17".

In the Trade Orders window, I can see it's the stop order that is getting filled prematurely. The contents of the columns "Price" and "Average Fill Price" are a mismatch. It implies the stoploss is triggered at a much higher price, where the stock is not trading at the moment at all. The average fill happens where, in reality, the stock is trading at the moment.

Hello. I took some time off. I tried trading on sim mode today and there go you. The same problem happened on this trade, a few milliseconds after my entry.

It's the stop order that's getting filled although price isn't there at all. I scalped INTC long with a 7 cent stoploss. The target was set 20 cent higher. The stop got filled immediately.

This cannot be due to my internet connection, because it's stable and the same problem happens when I replay charts.

If this is about simulated orders filling unexpectedly, refer to:

Trade Simulation: Why Fill and Order Prices Can Be Wrong or Unexpected /
Orders Do Not Fill When Expected

In this particular case:
Fills 2025-10-06 09:30:34.917757 2025-10-06 09:30:34.917738 [Sim]INTC-STK-SMART/NASDAQ-USD Trade simulation fill. Bid: 37.69 Ask: 37.70 Last: 37.19 5916 5916 Stop 100 Sell 37.60 Filled 37.69 100 Sim1 Close 5914 5916.1 37.70 37.69 0.00 Good till Canceled N

The last trade price triggered the fill, but then the order filled at the bid price.
