When I trade live, my positions always stay intact. When simulating, trades cancel out for no apparent reason after some time. It can be one minute. It can be five minutes. I never know. At first I thought it was because I have some jumpiness noticeable on my DOM sometimes. For example, let's say a stock is trading in a range between $200 and $200.20. Rarely (but it still happens sometimes), the current price will jump to 220.30 or what looks like a frozen state for a microsecond, even though it's not actually trading at that price (all the orders inbetween have not moved). I thought this would be why some trades stopped out. But I've used ridiculously wide stoplosses, to see if the position would remain active even though there is no chance price can ever jump this far. Still, some positions cancel themselves.
