in a highly performance / latency sensitive chart (trades are executed from there) i am observing lower performance when the chart is configured to copy drawings from another chart just one other chart)

is there anyway to minimize the impact of such auto copying - the actual copying and refresh of the copied drawings is NOT performnce sensitive, the order submission from the chart is however

Any impact you may be seeing due to copying drawings is what it is. There is no way to optimize this.

Not sure there has been any recent improvements since the versions you have but make sure your installations of Sierra Chart are up-to-date.

And reduce the amount of drawings being copied. Go to the source chart and delete any unnecessary drawings through Tools >> Manage Chart Drawings Window. This may be the source of the problem in your case.

We made reference to that window, to remove unnecessary chart drawings. You cannot copy and paste drawings from the Manage Chart Drawings window.

There is an option to copy a drawing such that the original reference is not kept, and the new drawing only exists in the chart in which it was copied to. This could be helpful, but you would need to test and see. We did not think of this originally.

Refer to the following for how to do this:

the objective was copying multiple/all drawings from one chart to another

similar to what u can achoeve with the standard windows convention of ctrl-a and ctrl-v

i still can NOT see such possibility within SC

did u mean in the above sopying single drawing? if thats the case then fyi i already knew how to do it but that was not the objective of this post

Yes, we were referencing copying and pasting drawings, as this might give you a benefit instead of using the "Chart >> Chart Settings >> Drawings >> Copy Chart Drawings from Chart #'s" option.

And yes, you can only copy and paste one drawing at a time.
