John, here is a new one. I have an instance that has complete frozen. Will not update. I was working earlier and then it just stopped. You can see data is getting in there with the green bar. The other 2 instances work fine. But no chartbook will work in instance 3. I made you a message log. help.... karen |

If you are able to pull up the Message Log, then the instance is not "locked up", as you can still interact with it. It sounds like the data is not coming in as you expect, is this the case, or is it something else? What happens if you restart the instance? Also, what service is the main instance set to? We wonder if you have the correct symbols for the main instance service. The symbols you have in this sub-instance are for Teton. If you are connected to a different service, then select "Edit >> Translate Symbols to Current Service" to get the correct symbols for the service you are using. John. this is an instance that has been happily running for months. It just suddenly stopped. I restarted the instance numerous times thinking it would boot it out of its slumber. I also, just for fun hit the translate. No dice. This was a happy working instance-until it wasn't.... Karen |

We need to know exactly what is occurring. As we stated, it sounds like you are able to interact with the program, so it is not locked. Is this correct? If you can interact, then what is occurring that is the problem? Are you not seeing any new data coming into this instance? hi, sorry, I am trying to do too many things today. I hit the translate and then it just said loading. I have now called up the instance and it is working again...So for the timeline as this is weird and you should be aware 1- the instance in question is a long serving, happy one. No issues for months since its creation 2- suddenly this morning it stopped updating prices 3- I closed and reopened. Same thing. Tried again, same thing 4- as I said above, for laughs I hit 'translate'. Remember this has been a perfectly functioning instance for months and months 5- data downloading and I went out for a while 6- just check and it is working now so you see a working instance just stopped updating out of the blue, and hit translate fixed it. thanks for your time and maybe just make a note of thing incase it happens to someone else Karen |

What is one symbol for one chart in that instance now? We need the exact symbol as it is entered in Chart >> Chart Settings >> Symbol >> Symbol.

the same symbols that were in the charts for months. NQU25-CME and ESU25-CME the instance was a working, happy, no issue one for months. Suddenly all the price updating froze/stopped. Closing and restarting instance did not fix it. Only by hitting 'translate...' on a lark did the price begin updating. It is working just fine this morning... |

In the original image you provided, the symbols were the Teton symbols - such as NQU25_FUT_CME, not the symbols needed if your service was set to "SC Data", which would be NQU25-CME. Somewhere along the line the symbols got changed, which is why changing them back fixed the issue.
