Hello, I previously subscribed to Package 11 and was surprised to learn that having a personal trading account is required to receive live futures market data without delay. Is this requirement still in effect? If so, would it still apply if I have my own data source—for example, a Rithmic subscription provided by a prop firm? Thanks |

Is this requirement still in effect? For the CME Group, this is still true. Other exchanges do not have this requirement. If so, would it still apply if I have my own data source—for example, a Rithmic subscription provided by a prop firm?
What we can state is that you can use the data from Rithmic in Sierra Chart. Just be aware that there is a lack of historical data. You would need to check with your Prop Firm on their rules for the use of the data. Sorry, but the answer isn't clear. What I mean by my question is, if I bring my own data source, will Sierrachart delay the data, as happened previously, and will I be asked to open a futures trading account and make a deposit, or will I see a live chart? When you say "there is a lack of historical data", do you mean that I might have a problem with the backtest, or do you mean something else? Thank you. |

We do not know what you mean by "bring my own data source". If you are using Rithmic for your data, then you can use this data with Sierra Chart. What we mean by a lack of historical data is that you will only be able to get about 5 days of historical data into the system. This means that most current data will be available - such as if you turn off the system on Friday at noon and then connect again on Monday - you should be able to get to get the data from Friday afternoon. But if you want to get data going back 1 week or more (such as you want data for the past year) then you will not be able to get this from Rithmic. Will the chart be live without delay?

Yes, as we are not aware of any delayed data option from Rithmic. Although even if they had it, we would probably not support it.
