We do not know what you mean by "bring my own data source". If you are using Rithmic for your data, then you can use this data with Sierra Chart. What we mean by a lack of historical data is that you will only be able to get about 5 days of historical data into the system. This means that most current data will be available - such as if you turn off the system on Friday at noon and then connect again on Monday - you should be able to get to get the data from Friday afternoon. But if you want to get data going back 1 week or more (such as you want data for the past year) then you will not be able to get this from Rithmic.
