The "Depth of Market" study gives the current Best Bid and Best Ask sizes, so you can use this study to get what you want. Refer to the following (note that for what you are wanting, you do not need to use the Spreadsheet Study - just reference the Bid Size and Ask Size subgraphs): Depth of Market Data Study/Chart Alerts And Scanning: Referencing Study Subgraphs And also review the other information on the Alerts page for how to setup alerts. Thank you for response. I have read the links you have given me. I understood that for my purpose I need to go to the chart studies - “depth of market data” - then go to the "alerts" section and in the "alert condition" tab write a formula to trigger alerts? I ran into a problem that I did not see a variable on this page https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc%2FStudyChartAlertsAndScanning.php#BaseGraphIdentifiers so I could specify the bid/ask size ? what should I write in the alert condition section? My goal is to have an alert as soon as the best bid/ask just shows more than a certain number that I want to specify myself. Translated with DeepL.com (free version) |

Add the "Depth of Market" study to you chart. Follow these instructions to do this: Chart Studies: Adding/Modifying Chart Studies On the Settings window for the Depth of Market study, select the "Alerts" tab. Enter the following in the "Alert Condition" field to get an alert when the Best Bid is greater than 100: =SG1 > 100 SG1 is the "Bid Size" subgraph that contains the information for the Best Bid. SG2 is the subgraph for the Ask Size. Expand on the formula as you need for what you want to do. I did as you said unfortunately it didn't work. I used another study and then it worked. Now I have next goal - I want to get the same alerts, but not from charts. I want it to be from some list where I will add stocks that I am interested in, and from there the alerts will appear. How to do this? thank you ! |

the problem with this method is that having a list of stocks in the watchlist, there is no constant scanning on all assets at the same time.between passing from 1 to 100 chart, there will be time for which the signal can appear and disappear and it will not get into the alert, and I will miss signal. so this option is not suitable, it is important to have a list of stocks, and that the scanning was constant, simultaneously on all stocks that are in the list, how can I do it? You would need to open charts for all the symbols you want. You can hide the charts and you will still get the alerts.
