Hello,

I have successfully activated Service Package 10 and I launched the main Sierra Chart using SierraChart_64.exe (not Sub Instance).

However, the “DTC Protocol Server Settings” menu is still not appearing under the Global Settings menu, even though I’m in the main instance.

I confirmed:
- I am running version 2758 (64-bit)
- I am not using a Sub Instance
- My service package is active and confirmed on the account panel

Can you please let me know what else I need to check in order to make the “DTC Protocol Server Settings” menu appear?

Thank you,
freediplomat

I subscribed to Package 10 and restarted Sierra Chart using `SierraChart_64.exe` directly (not a sub instance).

However, under “Global Settings”, I still don’t see the “DTC Protocol Server Settings” menu.

I need to enable the DTC server to connect from an external program for real-time data.

Can you confirm what step I might be missing, or if it’s not yet enabled on my account?

Thanks.

Select "Global Settings >> Sierra Chart Server Settings" and then there is a separate tab in there for "DTC Protocol Server".

We think this is what you are looking for. If it is something else, then please give us additional information.

We are curious why you were expecting to find this directly under the "Global Settings" window. If there is something in our documentation that is not correct, please let us know where it is so we can correct it.

Hello,

I have enabled the DTC Protocol Server and configured everything according to the documentation, but I am still stuck in “Reconnect Wait” status.

Here is my setup:

The DTC Protocol Server is enabled (Yes)

Listening Port: 11099, Historical Data Port: 11098

Allowed Incoming IPs: Local Computer Only

Sub instance is set to connect to 127.0.0.1 : 11099

“Allow Trading” is set to Yes

I launched SierraChart_64.exe directly — not from the sub instance

I have attached screenshots of:

Data/Trade Service Settings

DTC Protocol Server Settings

Reconnect Wait screen

Can you please advise what might be wrong? Why is it not connecting? What should I do next?

Thanks.

So far, I've finished it up to this state.

Yes we were going to say you do need to set the Server Port number to 11099:

In the last screenshot we see you have done this.

Set Automatically Use JSON Compacting coding to No in the Server Settings. Although thinking about it, that should not matter.

From the DTC sub instance after trying to connect:
