1. Is it fully supported and stable to run multiple Sierra Chart instances on the same machine, each connected to a different trading service or login, and submit orders concurrently?
It is supported and stable to run multiple Sierra Chart instances on the same machine, each connected to different trading services. We are not sure what you mean by "submit orders concurrently". If you are referring to orders being submitted from each instance themselves, then this is not a problem. If you are asking about orders being copied between instances, then Sierra Chart does not have a built-in option for this - we are aware that there are third party tools that can do this. 2. Are there any limitations, risks, or recommended best practices when running multiple instances for live automated or semi-automated execution?
The two issues you could come across are the following: 1. If your instances are very heavy (lots of charts and lots of data), then you may not have enough computing power or memory. This is something you just have to check on when you get going. There is no specific recommendations/requirements that we can give you, as it is very personal based on your setup. 2. You can only get data to 3 different installations of Sierra Chart from our Denali Exchange Data Feed. Refer to the following: Denali Exchange Data Feed: Denali Exchange Data Feed Connections on Same Computer Simultaneously 3. Within a single trading service connection (e.g., AMP), if multiple sub-accounts are available under one login, is order allocation across those accounts the recommended approach, or is it better to use separate instances per account?
That is up to you. All the accounts, however, will be available within a single instance of Sierra Chart since they are available under a single login. 4. Is there any native functionality in Sierra Chart to synchronise or copy trades across different instances or different trading service connections, or would this need to be handled externally?
See our note in #1 above. And refer to the following for what is currently available in Sierra Chart: Order Allocation to Trade Accounts 5. Would you recommend using the Teton order routing service for this type of multi-account setup in terms of reliability and latency?
We always recommend using Teton for reliability and latency. Just keep in mind that Teton only works with the CME Group. Refer to the information here: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
