There are no limitations on the number of systems that can create alerts. Refer to the following items that might help you: General Settings Window: Troubleshooting for Alert Sounds That Do Not Play General Settings Window: Wait for Prior Alert Sound to Finish Before Playing Next Queued Sound (Global Settings >> General Settings >> Alerts >> Additional Settings) Also, if your instances are sub-instances, then you might want to enable the "Remote Alerts" so that all the alerts are actually routed to a single instance which can then have better control over the playing of the sounds.
