The most likely issue is that the symbols are not setup for the service you are connected to. To fix this, open the chartbook and select "Edit >> Translate Symbols to Current Service". Refer to the following:
Edit Menu: Edit >> Translate Symbols To Current Service

The next most likely issue is that you are on a trial, and therefore limited in the data you have access to. So if there are symbols in the chartbook for which you do not have access, you will just have a blank chart. Refer to the following:
