Yes, you can use Sierra Chart just for charting. The one issue you will have is if you are wanting real-time data for the CME Group at the non-professional rates. The CME Group requires that you have a live, funded, futures trading account in order to get the real-time data at the non-professional rates. And you need to connect your Sierra Chart software to that account at least once a month for verification.
