The workaround for this is to add the "True Range" study to the chart (or whatever study you want to give you the range) which will give you the information in the Tool Values Window.

You can hide the study if you do not want to see the information on the screen, in this case you will need to enable the option for "Display Values When Hidden" on the Subgraphs tab. Refer to the following:
Chart Studies: Subgraphs Tab >> Display Values When Hidden
