Check the configuration you are using for that drawing. The Rectangle has options for "Use Start Time" and "Use End Time" (along with corresponding times). It sounds like these may be enabled and this is causing your rectangle to be drawn at a specific location away from where you are able to see it, or locking one side causing it to not display as you want.
