For now we recommend reducing the Days to Load setting in each of the charts to the minimum that you need:

Chart Settings: Days to Load for Intraday Chart Data Type (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Data Limiting >> Load Data Limiting Method: Days to Load menu)

Cancel the downloads with Edit >> Cancel All Downloads and then reconnect to the data feed:
File Menu: Procedure to Reconnect to the Data and Trade Servers

Yesterday afternoon, I went into the Data folder in Sierra Chart and deleted old, very large data files. I had previously set my system to record market depth, however my computer is getting bogged down with the extremely large files and so I got rid of the old ones from 2021. Perhaps this was a mistake...?
This is fine.

As far as what you need to delete or not, it just simply depends upon whether the futures contracts are expired. You possibly want to delete the expired ones. It depends upon how much data is being loaded in the chart. If you are loading six months of data, then you do not want to delete chart data files that are are less than six months old.

Similar with market depth data. It depends upon what you are loading in the chart. Maybe you just need five days of data.
