Dave: I retraced the steps required to connect with Interactive Brokers. I have not traded real time since joining IB and I wanted to check if any required setting was unchecked. I found that the Enable ActiveX and Socket Clients was unchecked - and that the Read Only API was checked. This solved the problem - I checked the proper boxes and the problem was resolved. A few minutes later the Charts and the Dome were on Real Time. I followed the instructions when signing up but a lapse in time or lack of funded account or an error could have caused the problem.
