In order to show data going further back than the current contract, you need to setup the chart as a Continuous Futures Contract Chart. Refer to the following for this: Continuous Futures Contract Charts If you had this setup previously and were not getting the data, then that would have been due to the fact that CQG does not send historical data for previous contracts.
