If you want to be backtesting and live trading at the same time, then you would need to use either 2 instances of Sierra Chart (started by selecting File >> New Instance or use 2 different installations of Sierra Chart. With the option for "New Instance", you would just need to ensure that the second instance (the one started by selecting File >> New Instance) is the one you use for Backtesting, as it will stay in Simulation Mode, then the main instance is your trading instance.
