There was a change from the Exchange that the daily data is no longer available for free. Refer to the information here: Notice: Replacement for CBOE Indices Historical Daily Data If you absolutely want the $VIX, then the only option is to use the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed and enable the CBOE Indices exchange.
