We think the issue you are having is that you are not understanding that it is only going to use one bar from the 1 minute chart and overlay that single bar into the 5 minute slot. As to which bar it uses is dependent on your settings for the Study/Price Overlay. For instance, if you have the option for Data Copy Mode set to Use Earliest Value from Corresponding Timeframe in Source Chart, then when you look at the bar for 07:40 in the 5 minute chart, it is going to show you the 1 minute bar from 07:40. Whereas, if you had the Input set to Use Latest Value from Corresponding Timeframe in Source Chart, then it would be displaying the 07:44 bar from the 1 minute chart at 07:40 on the 5 minute chart.
