Its understandable that they have no intention to f*** things up by implementing a new protocol they have no experience with. They consider the risk and the return of the invested time on top of the risk. Its kinda a big deal for them...and for their customers, who give a damn thing about the intentions if things go wrong.

But i also would like to be able to use SC with one of these evaluation services if needed.

The problem is, SC has the superior standard but the industry doesnt care. SC did put alot of money and time into their own data feed and FINALLY!!!!!! a decade long struggle ends. Just so they can continue to deal with all this inferior BS? I dont think so. And yes, unification is needed across the whole industry but is not desired by some big guys...makes competition harder and so each one sticks with his own ecosystem..

But if one wants to stay in the game and cant/wont compromise any longer for good reasons, then you might be forced to offer some of the existing stuff yourself...this may reduce the stress level but not sure about the workload. Only in the longrun it pays off for sure.

I just wish stuff would happen faster. I wonder what comes next after millisec format. My bet is SC's own orderrouting via direct link. But i am also waiting for the promissed trading journal functionality...this would be a big PLUS! In the end, SC works on their own exchange. To me, this sounds crazy...but well, i cant judge that.

I just dont know what Rithmic is offering as features for those evaluation companies. If its convenient as f*** to work with Rithmic then nobody in those evaluation companies is going even a single step back so SC can get again into the basket of supported platforms. Its really up to SC and Rithmic to find a lasting solution.
