One place this is explained is here: Window Size and Position Not Restored When Opening Chartbook But that particular problem is different but somewhat related. We do remember this issue being brought up by another user, about a year ago, and they did describe a solution to it. But we do not remember what that was. Maybe you can find that thread. You also need to realize, that the behavior you see probably is intended by Microsoft. So what you think is a problem is a deliberate design decision by Microsoft where with the method you are manipulating the window, its internal "window placement structure" which we use to save and restore the window, is not updated. it's not just 'other' programs. it's all programs EXCEPT for SC that function properly in this regard.
