Today we started using Microsoft Excel 2016. This is using their subscription model for payment. We ran into the following problems: -Unable to authenticate our account meaning that we would be running into restrictions a few days later. Absolutely no error message given as to why this was the case. -Confusing user interface with the ribbon bar and huge full screen menus. Not a standard menu with traditional toolbar/control bar buttons. -Freezed multiple times with only a 50 K file. -Abnormally shutdown multiple times just doing simple things like trying to change an option. -Option settings not saving. This is totally and completely pathetic. This is hard evidence that Microsoft has turned into a totally and completely deranged out of control organization. The very fact that a global option setting in the program cannot even be changed is insane. -Prompting us that there was not some irrelevant server folder set when saving the options. This was a setting we were not even trying to change. -Cannot find how to change the standard default background color. It used to be that Microsoft Excel was a fine product many years ago. Today it is garbage. Libre office Calc is superior. Why are we saying this? We are saying this, because Sierra Chart is always going to be a good quality solid and reliable program. While occasionally there are issues with new developments we do or when we make changes or with external services that we have no control over, we do remedy those which are within our control quickly. At this point, anyone who says Sierra Chart is difficult to use, or is not intuitive, we are no longer going to accept that kind of nonsense. And it is utter nonsense when it comes to Sierra Chart basic and core functionality. Sierra Chart is very simple to use with its basic and core functionality.
