Is there also a server in Germany for the historical CME data -> "CME Exchange Data Feed Historical Server Address Override"?

I think DS14-2 is the only one in Germany, but for historical data any server will be good. |

I've access to a server through the RDP protocol(Terminal server) which is located in Germany. When www.sierrachart.com is not available from my site here in Austria this server can access www.sierrachart.com without any problems in Firefox. It seems this server is using another route to the Sierra Chart servers. My server is behind a firewall and ping and tracert seems to be blocked. This is so annoying when you have no chance to do something to solve such a problem. All these red bars are package losses when using the route from Austria....:-((

That's not good in did. Try using different Denali servers to see which works better for you, as some have different ISPs and different routes. Check here: Data/Trading Service Connection and Symbol Issues: IP Addresses You have a similar amount of latency in Austria as I have in Portugal, which is strange since my internet route is longer than yours. You may also try to use different ISPs. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2026-04-03 19:31:39

Strange because you are ~1000 km nearer to the US than me. I tried the german server DS14-2 today not a single interruption. But also pinging www.sierrachart.com was much much better than in recent days. It seems somebody fixed these package loss problems on the route to the SierraChart servers.

That's because the route to my location goes first to the UK, France and/or Madrid - Spain. That makes it much longer. I tried the german server DS14-2 today not a single interruption. But also pinging www.sierrachart.com was much much better than in recent days. It seems somebody fixed these package loss problems on the route to the SierraChart servers.
I didn't have any problem today too, but the volume and volatility was much less, specially the bursts. |

Ok, this longer route will cost you more latency. Let's see how it will be the rest of the week.

Just wanted to report ~9:36am EDT, that both of my SC instances experienced data lag, then disconnected and reconnected. My other trading software kept streaming data. Could be routing, not sure, just wanted to report it.

I'm seeing the same issues as in post #26 again today with the depth in a certain price range being massively overinflated on NQ.

Anytime the market is volatile SC can't handle this load, please look into this looks like load related issue.

Here is a screenshot of the bid/ask depth bars from today. The depth difference is -160,000 at times. This is Denali data. Please could you let me know how to resolve. Thanks! |

It doesn't help, because if you see in this thread, the bottleneck is not CPU, which is what your post explains. The data lag discussed in this thread is an upstream network issue. |

I have not had any issues recently, but I did have one today and might as well post it here. FWIW, there was a major freeze on the headline at 12:38pm ET. I have a 50k per second quote websocket streaming coming in, and that did not flinch. However, both instances of SC, the data froze for a solid 1-2 minutes, with what appeared to be disconnects and re-downloads. |

I can confirm there has been - without any doubt - this kind of data problems lately, but considering the replies I usually get, most times I don't even dare to report them anymore... Bad Data Freezing at 10:13am |

Example of data freezing: 13:28:55pm ET today, 06/11/2026. One instance of SC had no issues. The other (with only 3 charts + 3 DOMs) disconnected and reconnected automatically, taking about 45 seconds to do so.

How are these instances setup? Is this a main instance and a sub-instance (started with "File >> New Instance")? Or are these two separate installations? If two separate installations, are they connected to different services? If so, what services is each connected to? If these are separate installations, then please get us the Message Log from the instance that disconnected. If your "Global Settings >> Time Zone" is not set to Eastern US, then please let us know what it is set to. It's the second time this has happened to me lately too. Just like some people have said, I noticed that it happened when it was very volatile - we're talking about over a 50 pts to over a 100 points move within 2-3 secs on the NQ. It would freeze and then it would take about 15-20 secs to reconnect. Once it's reconnected, I would see "Waiting to Download Historical Intraday Data" and then "Historical Intraday Data Download Complete". Then it was back to normal again. During that whole time, the connection status stayed green - it didn't show that it was disconnected at all. John, I've attached my log. The instance which did not disconnect is using "SC Data" (Denali). The instance which disconnected is using the SC Trading Evaluator connection (I'm using the DTC API to copy fills to an external non-SC-supported trading system). They are two separate installations, not sub-instances. |
